The images in these etching were inspired by ‘Bog Queen’ a poem by Seamus Heaney. They are not representation of living plants, but rather observations from the archive of dried, wild flowers, collected by Botanist Robert Lloyd Praeger, circa early 1900’s, and housed at the National Herbarium, Botanic Gardens.
